I built Terrain through layers of soft neutrals, deep blacks and raw, textured marks, allowing each section to develop intuitively as I worked. I wanted the darker forms to feel bold without overwhelming the softer areas around them. For me, the finished piece has a sense of movement and depth, like looking across an ever-moving landscape.
