Head in the Clouds came from a place of grounding and dreaming… a space where earth and sky meet, where thoughts drift and settle at the same time. I was drawn to the natural movement of clouds and terrain, and how they both shift with quiet power.
Working with deep browns, warm taupes, and soft whites, I wanted to create a sense of flow, something organic and unforced. The layers of texture gave me a way to bring depth to that feeling, to make the movement feel almost geological, like time shaped it. The delicate gold accents were a late addition, but they felt essential… like glimmers of clarity in the midst of quiet chaos.
This piece is about balance: softness and strength, light and shadow, presence and pause.
