Eclipse began with light, soft, delicate tones layered gently before deeper shades settled in. As the darker hues emerged, they brought a quiet sense of mystery, balanced by an underlying calm. I wanted the piece to hold that duality… the stillness of light and the intrigue of shadow existing together.
For me, painting Eclipse was a meditative process, a way to explore how darkness can feel peaceful rather than heavy. My hope is that viewers feel that same sense of ease, while also being drawn to look closer and find their own meaning within the layers and the spaces between.
